to annabel: hello! it depends what you want. if you work really hard, both jc and poly can get you into uni. for jc, it's extended uniform life. and poly, it's more like preparing you for the working world. you can save lots of money on clothes if you choose jc (laugh!). but, if you are interested in the courses in poly, choose poly. jc can be very tough. :)
